Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Our PT Week Logo

For few months we were busy in the preparation of our PT week which was started on the 24th of this month and will continue holding its activties 'till the 30th of this month..

I was like a busy bee(that's how Mr.Niyi start to call me!!)..as the leader of the media committee during the week, lots of responsibilities was put over my shoulders..the press,Radio,TV,arranging conferences & interviews between them and the staff, preparing the posters, pamphlets and daily reports to the media..which gave me no time sometimes to sit or have a proper decent meal..any way,who thinks of food when an important activity is held to his department?!

Everyone was happy,I was waiting for this week since last year which was only some sketches on paper back then..but now, here it is....thanks to all PT staff.

As a Physiotherapist I am proud that we organised this week, which includes very important activities including: student school screening for scoliosis, Healthy computing, correct your posture to HMC staff, secretaries,HIS & medical reports,Low Back Pain Day for patients and public,O.A Knee Day for patients and public,Parents education lectures and a Symposium Day on the last day of the PT week..

All the activities were held in HGH,WH,RH and all the OPD physiotherapy clinics in Qatar.

I took lots of pictrz, but I will not be able to post them all cuz they are so many!

These are some snaps from the Opening Ceremony:

Confused?!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I love to travel all around the world, see different places meet different people and be exposed to their traditions & culture to learn new positive things from them..Although I couldn't move all around the globe, but I live in a country where u can meet different cultures in one street!

Although I'm "Arabiana",Most of my friends are Filipinos, and I found myself falling In love with those cute people. They are friendly, respectful, open minded, sweet, simple, sensitive, peaceful and proud. But they can be so emotional sometimes!

I met some of my Filipino friends at work, but the majority I met online,I didn't have the chance to gather with them face to face yet ,but hopefully in the near future...I like them.
So I wanted to learn more about them. And when I did I found myself falling in love with them more! Normally, I like to learn from them, I Like eating their food, "pancit" is my favorite Filipino dish, I like also listening to some Filipino artist ,but what I was really fond of most is, their cute style in words..

My best friend Hugsy encouraged me to use her native language, food, music, names,& cloths..I'll never forget that she was the 1st one to introduce me to some expressions like, "po"! For example, I learned from her that I should use it whenever am talking to a"kabayan", It gives more respect to the person in front of you. Which I admire!
In some special occasions she prefered using the short cut terms to say one sentence in one word! For example:
happy birthday, haberday, hapiberty, hapibeerday, and some of them will even say:hapiburpday!! I found that amusing!

The petnames was one of my favourite part..
Before I was really exposed to this culture,I used to have only 2 pet names :mimi (how my mom call me) and babywild (how my friends and teachers call me since I was in elementary school, they even opened an email for me then with this name!!)
cuz I was really makulit at school!but after that I found myself called with new cute names: shorty, missy, bubwit, mimipot, bubwit kulit, which I didn't mind cuz I find it appealing!

So I started using some of these terms..some expressions some good habits from what I love to learn..

I use it coz simply I Love it !

But unfortunately some Filipinos cund't understand this, and didn't accept it & find it a "copycat!" thing to do, Which hurt me a lot, coz I never thought of it this way…and becuz they don't know me,they are totally strangers to me!

I thought it's okay for a non-Filipino person to use some native words or expressions? I am actually indulged now in a Tagalog class, is this a "copycat" thing to do? I know am still learning and I have LOTS of things to learn from/about them but until now I can't understand some Filipinos totally,is these terms Restricted to filipinos only?!!

My Filipino fellows...Enlighten me please?

Talk to your Dream..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I have so much to tell you
That I talk to you in solitude
Like a lunatic picturing you
On my side day and night..

Just when I have you on my side
I can not believe that you know
Nothing of all the things I said
In my world of believable fantasy..

So sweet you are to me in my world
Of fantasy, that shyness veil falls down
When you pierce my heart with intimacy
That my wildest dreams can not unravel..

Dwell in my heart, day and night, and yet
Give life to the doll you are in my fantasy
Let our life be a fantasy, yet real to the core
Full of dreams come true, so real and no end..

Impossible?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I was with my best friend Hugsy, before she go Home on vacation,
we went shopping and dined together. We had fun.

That was last Friday.

We passed in front of Sport Corner and she stopped me to check
a poster on the window of that shop, it was few words of wisdom
which I never noticed before although I keep passing near that store
so many times, but this time I stopped, and took an effort to read what
was there...

It Says:

IMPOSSIBLE IS JUST A BIG WORD THROWN AROUND BY SMALL
MEN WHO FIND IT EASIER TO LIVE IN A WORLD THEY'VE BEEN
GIVEN THAN TO EXPLORE THE POWER THEY HAVE TO CHANGE IT.
IMPOSSIBLE IS NOT A FACT.
IT'S AN OPINION.
IMPOSSIBLE IS NOT A DECLARATION.
IT'S A DARE.
IMPOSSIBLE IS A POTENTIAL.
IMPOSSIBLE IS TEMPORARY.

IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!

It's true, don't give in to I CAN'T, instead TRY!
I believe that with LOVE and UNDERSTANDING
we can make miracles..
Face YOUR Fears. Be ready to the Journey...
It's time to go!
